About

The mission of the Black Tech Boston meetup is to facilitate cross industry relationships with African-Americans interested in and actively pursuing careers related to Information Technology and Software Engineering. Established in March 2015, we have quickly grown to over 350 members and counting. Our meetup events are hosted quartlerly to engage a diverse group of talent.

Our memebers include Software Engineers, Product Managers, IT System Administrators, Entreprenuers, and Quality Assurance Engineers etc. We have hosted several meetups at leading tech companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Twitter. Our meetups are unique because they offer a rare but important time for underrepresented technologiest to get together and share ideas with entry level and senior professionals.

Our members come from an array of local tech companies and are passionate about having a postive impact in the innovation economy. Our meetups also do not serve alcohol to ensure that K-12 students can attend and learn.
